About Camp St. J

What is the Camp St. J experience?

The Camp St. J experience is what separates us from other summer institutes and professional development seminars and workshops.

It is kayaking or swimming in local lakes; it is hiking Mt. Pisgah or Burke Mountain, taking in the commanding views from their peaks; it is visiting local retailers to sample artisanal cheeses, wines and other gourmet delights; it is partaking in exceptional four-course meals each evening and sipping wine with peers under the stars.

There is something for everyone at Camp St. J. We strive to create an environment where educators can work and play hard, where peers from around the globe can network and share best practices in an energizing and collegial environment.

As adults and professionals, we are often nostalgic for the simple pleasures of our youthful camp experiences: forging friendships, developing community, engaging in rewarding activities, learning new skills, amidst the beauty of the natural world.
