Consultant Bio

Joe Mancino has been teaching all levels of Physics in central Connecticut since 2005 and has taught graduate courses for pre-service science teachers, served as a mentor for new teachers, and hosted several student teachers. He has served as a reader, table leader, question leader, and writer for the AP Physics exams since 2014. Recently, he co-authored the updated student guide to accompany the Serway and Vuille text. Joe works with new Physics teachers as a consultant for the College Board. From 2017 until 2023, Joe served on the AP Physics 1 test development committee, spending four years as the high school chair. Joe served as College Board’s “Lead Consultant” and “Lead Teacher” for AP Physics 1.
